About four years ago, I was preparing a birthday dinner for my wife. Nothing extravagant. Just a long table, good food, dim light, and a mix of people from different chapters of her life. Family. Old friends. New friends. People who cared about her, but didn’t yet know one another.
She asked for one simple thing:“Can you bring some conversation cards to help everyone integrate?”
I could have just grabbed a deck of {THE AND} cards off the shelf, but something else sparked. What if we went further? How could I design a beautiful, intentional experience that would be truly unique and memorable? Could I create something new that honored the depth of connection we were hoping to create with our closest friends and family?
That night, the first version of RITUAL came to life. Over the past three years it has evolved significantly, through countless dinners, gatherings, and moments shared around tables with loved ones. What we share with you here is the culmination of those years of community, care and refinement.

Honestly? We don't even know if this product is something we can viably sell. This isn't 3D printing or some mass produced product, it's handmade by incredibly talented artisans, with carpentry by Patricio Mastache and
49 unique, never-to-be-repeated engraved designs by artist Carmine Gortez. Products like these don't come cheap. They are heavy to ship and creating them, reliably, with genuine care is difficult to do. We don’t even know what the price on something like this might be in the end, but here's what we do know: we had to offer it to our community. We had to put it out into the world.
That's why we've introduced this extremlely limited edition run, four sets of RITUAL, all engraved and individually numbered.

Crafted from rich American Walnut, aromatic Cedar, and stunning Rosa Madera, each piece celebrates the unique grain patterns and warm tones of these premium materials.
The contrasting woods create a striking visual harmony, the rich, chocolate-brown color, and exceptional stable American Walnut provides elegant structure, while the warm reddish-brown Cedar adds depth and a subtle, pleasant fragrance.
